Great Wins - Bad Loses

How many times have studios spent millions $  on a bad movie and nobody came? More times than should be counted. Great writing, great story telling, great characters always win with the reading public.
What I am saying is if you want to be recognized by the majority of the public, you must write to entertain them WELL. If you want to write a self satisfying arts book, poetry, reviewer favorite, low audience volume reach because you enjoy it, that's okay too. But, understand you will not make a lot of money doing low reach.
So, write the best story you can, make it a great story, then you win. You can't spend your way out of bad writing. I saw on Amazon a book where the writer had stupid money he spent on paying thousands of $$ for reviews, yes, you can buy reviewers, but they can't make a bad book good. Test of a great book is does it entertain the majority. Choose your goal wisely.

Ever Try to Use Facebook Links? Ads Ads Ads

Boy oh boy!
I want everybody to know this over commercialization of the internet is out of control; our control. No web site lets us view the info we want to see without popups, screen blockers, email requests, tailor made ads, self starting UNWANTED videos, and just an overall assault on our attempt to just view the damn information we requested.
And now, try to  add a link on your own Facebook  page, they make it impossible unless they get a cut of it; in other words total control. If somebody had a program to block forever all these *&^%*^##* attempts to force us to read their lousy ads, they'd become a gazillionaire. It's time they let the people be free of their crap, after all, without customers (users), they disappear.

Writing is Easy-Writing Good is HARD!

Everybody writes, but try writing something good the masses think is good. Now that's hard. Just compute how many (FEW) best sellers there are. Gosh, by Amazon eBook numbers, there are less than, ready, the number .00001 percent make eBook best seller status. Chew on them apples. Any sure fire ideas out there?

Too Many Good Reviews-Scary

Hello friends,
This is getting scary. Why? Because every reader tells me I am going to have an Amazon eBook Best Seller. You know there are no friends or family in my group of readers, zip, nada, none. Now how can a shlub like me become a best seller out of the chute on my first try? I say people are too nice and are afraid to tell me it sucks. It's only fair to tell the writer it sucks, if it does. It is the only way I can write better.
But no, all I get are hugs and kisses thrown at me. Please help me understand, anybody?

Well I've been under the weather the last four days. I have decided to rename my novel. Dropped America Reborn now it is CODE X: Episode1.
Cleaner not confusing. Still looking for opinionated beta readers.

How I Got 10 free Beta Readers. They asked me to read my eBook Code X

I found some gold in my digs in the last few days trying to promote my eBook. I was wanting volunteer beta readers for my mystery/thriller eBook, CODE X: Episode1.
What I did was print the three page prologue to my book and pass it out to  anybody who likes to read. I told them if they wanted to read past page one and read to the end and they wanted to do that, I would send them 10 more free eBook  chapters to read by sending me an email. It is working because now I am getting readers who want to read more.
I could not be happier with my success.
